Due to an internal promotion, we are seeking a highly organised and customer-focused People Services Officer to join our People & Culture team. This role is an integral part of the People & Culture operating model and ideal for someone who enjoys variety, thrives on administration and systems, and takes pride in delivering exceptional service to employees and leaders.
As the first point of contact for many People & Culture enquiries, you will play a critical role in supporting the employee experience and ensuring the smooth operation of people processes and HRIS administration across RFDS Western Operations.
About the team The People & Culture team partners with leaders and employees across RFDS WA to deliver exceptional people experiences and support organisational success. We provide strategic and operational support across workforce planning, recruitment, employee relations, learning and development, remuneration, systems and employee experience initiatives.
About the role Reporting to the Head of People, the People Services Officer provides administrative and systems support across the full employee lifecycle, HRIS administration, workforce reporting and employee enquiries.
This role is responsible for maintaining accurate employee records, supporting leaders and employees through key people processes, and ensuring high quality data integrity across People & Culture.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Lifecycle Administration
* Coordinate employee onboarding, employment variation letters and offboarding activities
* Support relocation assistance administration for new employees
* Process employee lifecycle transactions including transfers, promotions and terminations
* Manage probation administration, including monitoring review dates, issuing reminders and preparing documentation
* Coordinate the employee service award process
* Support credentialing and compliance administration activities
* Maintain accurate employee records and documentation in accordance with organisational requirements
HR Systems and Reporting
* Maintain employee records within Dayforce, ensuring data accuracy and integrity through regular audits and quality checks
* Monitor and action HR workflow requests in accordance with approved processes
* Provide first-level support to employees and leaders regarding Dayforce, self-service functionality and system enquiries
* Generate regular workforce and HR reports, including FTE reporting and other workforce metrics
* Support the maintenance and ongoing improvement of People & Culture intranet content and resources
Employee and Leader Support
* Manage the People & Culture inbox and respond to employee and leader enquiries
* Provide guidance on People & Culture processes, policies and procedures
* Support the administration of employee benefits, leave requests and other people-related activities
* Process People & Culture invoices and associated administrative requirements
* Support the People Experience Lead in the planning and coordination of events and other People & Culture initiatives
About you
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
* Previous experience in Human Resources, People & Culture, administration or a similar support role
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
* Experience working with HRIS platforms, ideally Dayforce
* Excellent organisational and time management skills
* Strong customer service skills and the ability to build positive working relationships
* Sound written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to manage competing priorities and maintain confidentiality
* Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and reporting tools
