Network Design Engineer
This role involves designing and delivering scalable network solutions that underpin clients' cloud, security and digital-workplace services.
* We are seeking an experienced Network Design Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will design, deliver and document high-performance network solutions for clients across Tasmania and mainland Australia.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of IP networking protocols, including routing, switching and QoS policies across multi-vendor platforms (Cisco, MikroTik, Juniper).
A bachelor degree in Telecommunications or equivalent industry experience is required. Additionally, the successful candidate must have 3+ years designing and delivering IP networks in an Australian carrier or MSP environment.
Solid grasp of VoIP protocols (SIP, RTP, SRTP, QoS, DSCP) and proficiency in network monitoring and analysis tools is also essential. Understanding of Australian telecommunications regulations and excellent problem-solving and communication skills are highly desirable.
Key Requirements
* Bachelor degree (Telecom, EEE, CS) or equivalent industry experience.
* 3 + years designing / delivering IP & transmission networks in an Australian carrier or MSP environment.
* Solid grasp of VoIP protocols (SIP, RTP, SRTP, QoS, DSCP).
* Proficiency in network monitoring and analysis tools.
* Understanding of Australian telecommunications regulations.
* Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
