We are seeking an experienced and technically strong Senior Manager - Tax to join our clients award winning firm. This is a key leadership role responsible for managing a diverse client portfolio, delivering high-quality tax services, and mentoring a small team.
Working closely with senior leadership, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring exceptional client service, driving workflow efficiency, and contributing to business growth.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage, develop and oversee a portfolio of clients
* Deliver high-quality tax compliance and advisory services
* Prepare and review income tax returns, financial statements, BAS and IAS
* Ensure all work is completed in line with ATO deadlines and firm standards
* Take ownership of workflow management and job completion
* Review work completed by junior staff and provide constructive feedback
* Mentor, support and develop direct reports, including performance appraisals
* Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication
* Identify and secure new business opportunities
* Assist with onboarding and training of new team members
* Stay up to date with taxation legislation, accounting standards, and industry developments
About You
* Proven experience in a senior tax or business services role within public practice
* Strong technical knowledge of Australian taxation law and accounting standards
* Demonstrated experience managing client relationships and delivering advisory services
* Experience leading and mentoring staff
* High attention to detail with strong organisational and time management skills
* Commercial mindset with the ability to identify growth opportunities
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
