Job Overview
Transport Information Officer – Transport For NSW – Eveleigh, NSW – Permanent Full‐time. Salary range: $121,175.00‐$135,716.00. Work location: Transport Management Centre (TMC) at Eveleigh (24/7). Rotating roster includes weekends. Penalty rates, overtime and additional annual leave paid in accordance with the Transport Award.
Responsibilities
* Deliver customer information via Live Traffic NSW, transportnsw.info, social media and other channels.
* Respond to customer questions from phone, social media, websites and other sources.
* Collaborate within an operational team, exchanging information and assisting teammates to achieve objectives.
* Produce information for social media and digital content, focusing on up‐to‐date updates for road and public transport users.
About you
Key capabilities: experience in an operational, hands‐on communications environment; ability to convert complex operational information during major incidents and events into public and stakeholder messages; composure in dynamic, high‐pressure settings; strong written and verbal communication skills for time‐critical messaging; tertiary qualifications in communications or similar, or relevant industry experience; confidence using technology, social media and content management systems.
