The ideal candidate will have 1–3 years of experience in tax compliance and be a CPA or Enrolled Agent candidate. This role involves preparing complex tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts.
Key responsibilities include:
* Preparing individual, partnership, corporate, and fiduciary income tax returns
* Identifying and executing tax planning strategies to enhance client outcomes
* Supporting clients in dealing with the IRS and state tax authorities
* Responding to IRS and North Carolina Department of Revenue notices
* Preparation and electronic filing of W-2s, 1099-MISC, 1099-NEC, and 1099-INT
* Maintaining and logging tax return records
* Providing general support to the tax department as needed
