About the Opportunity
As a Graduate Process Engineer, you will gain practical experience in day-to-day production operations, build technical expertise and actively contribute to improving plant performance.
Program Details
Programme is a 3-year fixed‐term Graduate Program, commencing in January/February 2027, aligned with the completion of your university studies and contingent on successfully obtaining your degree.
Key Responsibilities
* Work on production and CAPEX projects in collaboration with operations and maintenance teams
* Assist in reviewing process parameters and identifying improvement opportunities
* Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and support issue resolution
* Contribute to updating procedures and engineering documentation (e.g. P&IDs)
* Perform plant monitoring, data collection, and analysis
* Coordinate closely with operators and maintenance personnel
* Develop an understanding of Major Hazard Facility requirements and standards
* Build capability in planning, budgeting, and cost control processes
* Apply core chemical engineering principles, including reaction engineering, separation processes, mass and energy balances, and process control.
* Complete required HESQ training, participate in emergency response activities, and contribute to maintaining a safe working environment, including opportunities to take on site emergency roles.
About You
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical or Process Engineering
* Strong communication skills (written and verbal), with fluency in English essential
* The ability to work effectively in a team environment
* A proactive mindset with a commitment to continuous learning and development
* Curiosity in using AI (MS CoPilot) to improve personal and team productivity
* The ability to perform work responsibly, minimising risks and potential issues
* Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
* Australian or New Zealand citizenship, or permanent residency (temporary visa holders are not eligible)
* A willingness to relocate to Karratha, WA for the duration of the program
Benefits
* Complimentary employer-provided housing or $46,000 per year Karratha housing allowance
* $35,000 per year regional location allowance
* Annual bonus – target of up to one month's base salary
