James Cook University (JCU) invites applications for the role of Strategic Asset Planner in the Estate directorate. The position is full-time, continuing, based at the Townsville Bebegu Yumba campus, Douglas. Salary: HEWL 8: $111,960 - $128,567 per annum plus up to 17% employer superannuation contributions.
Responsibilities
* Develop and implement an optimised maintenance program and manage the University Strategic Asset Management Framework, asset life cycles and Estate Directorate maintenance strategy to mitigate risks and optimise performance.
* Ensure the standards of JCU's assets are maintained effectively and manage safety, financial, operational and reputational asset management risks, incorporating WHS, Australian Standards and statutory compliance with stakeholders and leaders across the organisation.
Qualifications and Experience
* Progressing towards a postgraduate qualification with extensive relevant experience in delivering strategic asset planning services in a large and complex organisational setting, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and standards.
* Experience in a major facility leadership role with strategic planning across a large estate portfolio (buildings, complex research infrastructure and diverse critical assets).
* Highly effective communication skills and advanced technical asset management knowledge to inform and deliver comprehensive analysis, guidance and reports for stakeholders.
* Proven ability to identify opportunities for continuous improvement; strong leadership in managing multi-level stakeholders; high-level critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.
