This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Business Support Specialist. In this role, you will provide high-level administrative support to senior executives and teams, utilizing your exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
* Provide proactive support to assist with the management of executive commitments.
* Manage complex competing priorities, ensuring timely completion of tasks and projects.
* Offer secretariat support to committees, coordination, document preparation, and minute taking.
* Administer programs (e.g., file management) for continuous improvement projects.
* Provide knowledge management support.
* Raise purchase orders, receipt invoices, and ensure timely payments.
* Support recruitment and onboarding of new staff and contractors.
* Handle inbound enquiries from senior stakeholders and suppliers.
* Organize workshops, morning teas, and team building events.
About You
* You are passionate about supporting and enabling excellence in a team environment.
* You have a keen eye for detail, are curious, and willing to learn.
* You have experience working in a complex organization, preferably in the higher education sector.
* You possess strong administration skills, handling confidential and sensitive information.
* You are highly organized, with expertise in diary management and working with senior stakeholders.
* You are proficient in MS Office, able to produce professional presentations, utilize Excel for data manipulation, and confident in Word for report writing.
* Familiarity with finance systems, purchase orders, and invoice processes is desirable.
* You are able to commute to campus at least 3 days per week.
