You will be responsible for performing the following job duties but are not limited to:
· The accurate detection of faults in mechanical parts and vehicle engines using
technical testing equipment such as computers where appropriate.
· The removal and dismantling of mechanical components including (but not limited
to) transmissions, engine assemblies, and steering mechanisms, and completing a
thorough inspection of the components.
· Completing required repair work to mechanical components, or where necessary
undertaking the replacement of parts in accordance with relevant service manuals.
· Reassembly of mechanical components post repair and conducting relevant tests to
ensure the component is fully operational then making any necessary adjustments
and re-testing if required.
· Performance of regular vehicle maintenance services including the replacement of
vehicle fluids such as oil, engine tune-ups, or lubricants ensuring the vehicles run
effectively.
· Becoming an effective user of specialist machinery designed for exhaust system
repair and customization of exhaust system parts.
· At least 2 years of relevant experience in Motor Industry
· At least Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis is required
· Unrestricted Australian working rights
· Proven experience in electrical and mechanical fault finding/repair
· Strong attention to detail
· Communication and teamwork skills
