Key Responsibilities
* Overseeing the quality of dishes throughout all stages of preparation and presentation to ensure consistency and excellence.
* Demonstrating cooking techniques and providing guidance on proper cooking procedures to ensure top-quality dishes.
* Preparing and cooking a variety of foods while maintaining the highest standards.
* Ensuring strict adherence to hygiene regulations and enforcing cleanliness standards in the kitchen.
* Collaborating with Managers, and both kitchen and waiting staff to address any food preparation concerns and ensure smooth operations.
* Designing and planning seasonal menu items as well as managing the ordering of food supplies.
* Potentially selecting, training, and supervising kitchen staff to maintain an efficient and skilled team.
About You
* 1-2 years of experience working with authentic Mexican dishes in a high-volume environment (Required)
* Relevant Commercial Cookery/Hospitality qualification (Diploma or equivalent)
* Strong knowledge of Mexican cooking techniques, ingredients, and traditional recipes.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy kitchen environment.
* Excellent communication skills.
