Turn your hobbies into heartfelt connections
We're looking for a friendly person who would love to brighten the day of an older lady in Medowie who would enjoy a weekly or fortnightly social visit for a cuppa and a chat. Our client loves spending time in her craft room and enjoys knitting, embroidery, crocheting, making cards and sewing clothes. She also likes jazz and classical music and watching British TV shows on ABC and SBS.
If you enjoy good conversation and simple pleasures, this could be a wonderful way to make a real difference in someone's week.
Your impact
Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.

HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.

Requirements
We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for a one hour visit between 9am and 4pm Monday to Sunday, visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability.
