The Opportunity
Located in Burwood and Kew, VIC; you will work closely with your small team of hospitality staff and residents. You will lead the Café operations to success by providing exquisite F&B services, catering options and ideas for functions. This is a hands‐on role where you will enjoy being hands‐on in meal and drinks preparation, understand food safety principles and ensure sufficient supplies of goods & ingredients. Most importantly, you'll have a passion for food, your team and the residents!
Permanent Part‐Time – 4 days a week (no weekends!) 09:00 to 15:30.

You will
* Be responsible for all Café operations – preparing daily meal services and providing guidance to your team
* Ensure the physical spaces within the Café amenity are conducive to resident utilisation and in keeping with the standard of the community.
* Work closely with your team to deliver great service, ensure events are running smoothly and work with residents when they wish to host functions (e.g. Melbourne Cup, Ladies Lunches, etc.)
* Monitor food safety checklists, compliance checklists and ensure strict adherence to all OHS policies
* Provide an "ownership" culture and business acumen that delivers revenue targets.
* Complete stock management of all goods including ordering, rotation and amendments
* Follow up on day‐to‐day operational issues including maintenance, staffing, rostering, cleaning and performance issues
What you'll bring
* Qualification in business, hospitality, or restaurant management highly desirable.
* Kitchen & Barista skills with experience in a Café environment.
* Retirement Living experience desirable.
* Barista training or certification.
* Current Police Check clearance and minimum two COVID‐19 vaccinations (required).
