headspace is Australia's National Youth Mental Health Foundation providing early‐intervention mental health services to 12‐25‐year‐olds. The service is designed to make it as easy as possible for a young person and their family to get the help they need for problems affecting their wellbeing.
Job Description
We are seeking an Allied Health Professional to join as a Contractor in Maroochydore. The role involves engaging, screening, assessing, referring and providing evidence‐based psychological interventions for young people aged 12‐25 years. You will build a positive rapport with young people, their families and friends; manage risk assessments; deliver therapeutic services; and coordinate care within a multidisciplinary team.
Essential Requirements
* You must be a General Psychologist, Clinical Psychologist, Mental Health Social Worker, or Mental Health Occupational Therapist.
* You must hold Medicare bulk‐billing eligibility or be able to apply for a Medicare provider number.
* You must be able to conduct bio‐psycho‐social assessments of young people presenting to the service, including assessment of alcohol and other drug use and provision of harm reduction information and treatment options.
* You must be able to conduct risk assessments and manage them while supported by the team.
* You must be able to deliver evidence‐based psychological interventions for young people presenting with a range of psychological, emotional and social problems.
* You must be able to facilitate and monitor the integration and coordination of care, including participation in care review meetings.
* You must be able to work collaboratively with all members of the multidisciplinary team and display a high level of professionalism, confidentiality and discretion.
* You must be able to facilitate Telehealth for our clients.
