Senior Urban Designer – Brisbane
RPS design presents an exciting opportunity for a passionate senior urban designer with a focus on new communities, urban centres, and regeneration to join the team. Our urban design team is growing and we a searching for a talented designers with either an architectural, landscape or planning background and a passion for good design and curiosity to innovate.
At RPS, we define, design and manage projects that shape our communities for the better. As part of our Brisbane-based Urban Design team, you will contribute to projects that bring together creativity, technical excellence and meaningful outcomes for clients and communities across Australia.
As a Senior Urban Designer, you will:
* Lead and deliver design projects from concept to completion, ensuring the highest quality of design outcomes and client satisfaction.
* Collaborate with the Sector Lead – Urban Design and a multidisciplinary team to deliver innovative, practical and sustainable design solutions.
* Engage with clients, consultants and approval authorities to progress projects and strengthen long-term partnerships.
* Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a collaborative and learning-focused design culture.
* Contribute to business development and project acquisition through networking, presentations and fee proposals.
What you'll bring
* A degree in Urban Design or associated fields such as Architecture, Town Planning or Landscape Architecture.
* 5-10 years' experience in urban design within the public or private sector.
* Strong understanding of land development, planning principles and relevant South East Queensland legislation.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
* Excellent communication and visual presentation skills.
* A creative, adaptable and team-oriented approach.
* Australian driver's licence.
Australian citizenship, permanent residency or full-time work rights in Australia (sponsorship is not available for this role).
