About the Role:
Phoenix Goldfields is seeking an experienced and site-ready Foreman to support our growing mining, civil and maintenance operations across the Goldfields region.
This role is primarily focused on:
Job planning and coordination
Estimating labour, materials and equipment requirements
Assisting with quoting and scheduling
Supervising crews and subcontractors where required
Supporting safe and efficient project delivery on mine and industrial sites
The position suits someone with strong practical mining or construction experience who can work independently, communicate effectively with clients and crews, and maintain high safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and coordinate labour, equipment and materials for upcoming works
Prepare estimates, costings and scope breakdowns for jobs
Liaise with supervisors, clients and suppliers regarding project requirements
Assist with mobilisation and site preparation activities
Supervise work crews and subcontractors when required
Ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and to specification
Conduct pre-starts, hazard identification and field leadership activities
Maintain job records, timesheets and site documentation
Assist management with scheduling and workflow coordination
Promote a positive safety culture and professional presentation onsite
Previous experience in a Foreman, Leading Hand or Supervisory role within mining, civil, mechanical or construction industries
Minimum of 3-5 years supervisory experience in relevant industries is required
Strong planning and organisational skills
Experience estimating labour, materials and equipment requirements
Ability to read and interpret drawings, scopes and work instructions
Strong communication and leadership skills
Current C Class Driver's Licence
National Police Clearance (NPC)
Ability to pass site medicals and drug & alcohol testing
Safety focused with a professional attitude
Must be site ready and capable of mobilising to mine sites when required
Current Section 26 (S26) Statutory Supervisor qualification or ability to obtain
Section 26 (S26) Statutory Supervisor qualification must be obtained within 3 months if not currently held
Australian Permanent Residency or Citizenship is required
