Your new role
As the Data Migration Lead, you will take ownership of the end‑to‑end migration effort from Landscape to Duck Creek. This is both a strategic and hands‑on role: you’ll define the migration approach, lead technical delivery, and ensure data integrity across complex transactional and analytical models. You’ll guide a small team and collaborate closely with stakeholders to align migration activities with the system go‑live. While primarily remote, you’ll make occasional trips to Adelaide to engage with the team and leadership.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, execution, and governance of the data migration program.
- Design, develop, and support SSIS ETL mapping package code.
- Build and optimise data marts and warehouses to support Duck Creek reporting.
- Deliver migration/mapping solutions for complex insurance data models.
- Drive Agile delivery practices, ensuring milestones are met.
- Act as the primary liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders.
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven leadership in large‑scale data migration initiatives.
- Experience with Duck Creek / Landscape is essential.
- Hands‑on expertise with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
- Strong background in data mart and data warehouse development.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps pipelines for CI/CD.
- Proficiency with Jira and Confluence for Agile project delivery.
- Strong insurance industry data domain knowledge.
- Ability to balance strategic oversight with hands‑on technical delivery.
