Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced GIS Analyst to join our organization and contribute to various environmental assessments, modeling, and reporting projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, expertise in geospatial tools, and experience with remote sensing technologies.
Key Responsibilities
* Spatial and Environmental Data Analysis:
You will be responsible for analyzing spatial and environmental data using GIS tools such as ESRI and remote sensing technologies like satellite imagery, UAV, and LiDAR. This involves supporting environmental assessments, modeling, and reporting across vegetation, soil, water, and carbon applications.
* Scripting, Automation & Tool Development:
The successful candidate will develop and automate geospatial workflows using Python, ArcPy, or R. You will also apply machine learning and AI techniques for image classification and predictive modeling, contributing to the development of consulting products and tools.
* Remote Sensing & UAV Operations:
You will plan, conduct, and process UAV-based LiDAR and imagery surveys. Additionally, you will analyze and integrate UAV data with external datasets for environmental monitoring purposes.
* Sensor & Monitoring System Integration:
Assistance with the design, deployment, and maintenance of environmental monitoring systems, including telemetry, soil sensors, RTK GPS, and field instruments, is required.
* Innovation & Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration:
Collaboration with internal and external teams is expected to develop new models, methods, and insights that support our ecological engineering goals and enhance project delivery.
