Medical Academic Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate academic to contribute to the teaching, assessment, and academic support of Year 3 medical students undertaking their core clinical placements.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced educator with a strong commitment to student learning and development to join our team.
* A doctoral qualification or equivalent accreditation in Medicine for Level B (Lecturer)
* Current registration as a medical practitioner with no restrictions or conditions
* Proven experience in teaching, assessment, and/or curriculum development at undergraduate and postgraduate levels
* Evidence of leadership through peer mentoring or clinical leadership roles
* A commitment to collaborative engagement with clinicians and health services to improve healthcare outcomes
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams
* A current driver's licence
To be appointed at Level C (Senior Lecturer), you will also have:
* Unconditional registration as a Specialist Medical Practitioner with recent clinical experience
* Active Fellowship with a recognised Australian Specialty College
* Demonstrated leadership in learning and teaching, including course coordination, curriculum development, and mentoring at undergraduate, honours and postgraduate levels
* A strong record of clinical supervision of medical students, junior doctors, and registrars
* A track record of collaborative, health-related research or quality improvement initiatives
* Proven leadership and management capabilities
