Murray Veterinary Services is seeking an equine veterinary nurse (qualified and registered with VPB WA) to join our team from September 2025 to January 2026
About Us
We are a 10‐vet equine only veterinary hospital located 15 minutes south of Pinjarra and 30 minutes from Mandurah in WA. We have a purpose‐built hospital with a fully equipped equine surgical suite. We have all the equipment and facilities to provide first class equine veterinary care, in house REM laboratory equipment, DR x-ray, Mylab ultrasound, digital endoscopy/gastroscopy, Equinosis lames locator, arthroscopy and laparotomy equipment, semen freezing and storage facilities. We work with the full range of horses from racing thoroughbreds to pleasure horses and provide every level of service from breeding work to surgery, dentistry, lameness and medical and intensive care. We have an amazing team of 20 support staff who ensure our hospital runs smoothly and effectively.
About the Position
The position is a 5‐month casual seasonal position. We are looking for a qualified equine veterinary nurse to work within our hospital and assist our reproduction vets on farm. The roll involves:
* theatre nursing
* manage hospital patients daily care and records
* neonatal intensive care management
* Assist with lameness and poor performance examinations
* Assist with horse treatments and procedures
* Assist veterinarians on farm with reproduction procedures
* Hospital and equipment management, cleaning and sterilisation
It is a full time 4 day a week 8am – 6pm and a one in four Saturday morning position 8am to 12pm
