Responsibilities
* Lead a small team of server engineers within the practice stream, focusing on the Essential Eight Maturity Uplift program.
* Provide technical leadership and day‐to‐day people management, supporting portfolio and project teams to ensure services and deliverables are completed effectively and on schedule.
* Assist and provide input into the team's strategy and roadmap initiatives to uplift maturity practices.
* Develop and create technology standards and patterns documentation to support the team's core technology stack (Cisco UCS, VMware, RHEL, and Windows).
* Lead and manage a small team of dedicated engineers responsible for executing security‐related agent rollouts, server builds, and implementations according to certified architectures.
* Establish processes to ensure project engineers deliver tasks on schedule.
* Ensure risks and weak signals are raised, managed and addressed in a timely manner.
* Ensure collaboration with portfolio teams, ensuring blockers and issues are addressed in a timely manner.
* Ensure projects are handed over to BAU operational teams within an agreed timeframe and signed‐off documentation.
* Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture that encourages continuous improvement and learning.
Qualifications
* The ability to develop and execute detailed roadmaps and timelines for maturity uplift initiatives.
* Vendor management experience, including negotiation skills and the ability to build strong relationships with technology partners and product owners.
* The ability to take ownership and drive project issues and blockers to closure.
* Ability to lead, direct, and guide the work of others, including setting goals and prioritising the work to achieve practice and operational outcomes.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
* Previous experience as a Senior Systems Administrator, Tech Lead, or Projects Team Lead with an excellent understanding of server and compute infrastructure.
