About the Role

Due to continued growth within the Australian market, they are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to drive utility-scale BESS opportunities across developers, IPPs, EPCs, and key renewable energy stakeholders. The successful candidate will play a key role in building strategic customer relationships, identifying market opportunities, and positioning the company's solutions. The role will work closely with technical, commercial, engineering, and global leadership teams to support project pursuits from early engagement through to contract execution.

Key Responsibilities
* Develop and execute the sales strategy for utility-scale BESS opportunities across the Australian market.
* Identify and originate new business opportunities with IPPs, renewable developers, utilities, EPC contractors, and energy market participants.
* Build and manage strong relationships with key stakeholders across the renewable energy industry.
* Lead customer engagement activities from initial opportunity through to commercial negotiation and contract close.
* Support tender responses, bid strategy, pricing discussions, and technical-commercial solution positioning.
* Collaborate closely with engineering, product, legal, and project delivery teams to develop competitive project solutions.
* Monitor market trends, regulatory developments, and competitor activity within the Australian BESS market.
* Represent the business at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.
* Maintain accurate sales forecasting, pipeline reporting, and CRM management.
Requirements
* Proven experience in utility-scale BESS, renewable energy, power systems, or energy infrastructure sales.
* Strong understanding of the Australian energy market, including utility-scale renewable project development and grid connection processes.
* Established relationships with developers, IPPs, EPCs, utilities, or network operators within the Australian renewable energy sector.
* Demonstrated experience managing complex commercial negotiations and long sales cycles.
* Strong commercial acumen with the ability to engage across both technical and executive stakeholders.
* Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
* Self-driven, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate in a fast-paced growth environment.
