Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Drafter to join our team. As a key member of our design department, you will play a critical role in creating accurate and detailed 3D models using Autodesk Inventor. Your expertise in industrial and mechanical design will enable us to deliver high-quality products to our customers.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Creating concept models and drawings for quoting purposes;
* Assisting project managers and tradespeople with layouts and material profiles;
* Drafting jobs using Autodesk Inventor;
* Creating shop drawings for our fabrication workshop;
* Maintaining a register of drawings;
* Working alongside estimators and assisting with product development;
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* A minimum of 3–5 years' experience in a similar role;
* Highly developed skills using AutoDesk Inventor and AutoCAD;
* Experience in industrial and mechanical design;
* Manufacturing background in the metal fabrication industry an advantage;
* Strong interpersonal and written communication skills;
* A self-starter who displays initiative and works well as part of a team.
