This is a permanent part-time role, working 40 hours per fortnight.
The Clinical Nurse provides clinical expertise, support, and pain management education to nursing staff and other health professionals to ensure best practice and quality patient care.

About the opportunity
The purpose of the position is to:
- Provide nursing care, assist with clinical interventions and provide pain management education to clients and their families of the North Queensland Persistent Pain Management Service (NQPPMS) on an outpatient basis from within a multidisciplinary team.
- Provide clinical expertise, support, and pain management education to nursing staff and other health professionals to ensure best practice and quality patient care.
This position may involve travel to other health facilities in North Queensland.
About the opportunity
NQPPMS provides support, education and multidisciplinary therapy for those with persistent pain, with the ultimate goal of patient self-management. The NQPPMS team also provides education and support to both public and private sector health care workers, in order to increase community capacity to care for patients with persistent pain.

- Salary range: $54.44 - $58.30 p.h. (NG6-1)

Requirements:
- Qualification: Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent certification relevant to the position is mandatory.
- Highly Desirable: Possession of a relevant postgraduate qualification in an appropriate field is highly desirable. Such experience may be discipline specific or have a service area focus.
- Travel: This position may be required to travel to (via small planes or ferry), and work at, other facilities, e.g., participate in clinical activities or meetings for planning, quality, performance and education. This may involve day and/or overnight stays. The successful applicant must be able to commit to this requirement.
