Job Overview
This position sits within the Mobile Capabilities team, part of the Product & Experience group. The team's mission is to empower experience building squads to work faster and operate autonomously through high leverage platform technology.
We build and maintain mobile capabilities that app teams rely on to deliver features efficiently and consistently across platforms.
Responsibilities
* Contributing to technical discovery, design, implementation of different platform capabilities
* Provide support for teams that use mobile Nautilus in their experiences (this includes bug fixing, migration, custodianship support and training)
* Create and maintain technical documentation
* Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
* Support custodianship efforts that contribute to apps as part of Native platform
* Contribute to weekly release process as build Zar & regression testing support based on a roster
* Mentor and guide other engineers, contributing to a culture of technical excellence
* Learning and contributing to the tech community. We are constantly learning together, mentoring each other and striving to do things better
* Contribute to team agile ceremonies
Requirements
* Expertise in native iOS development using Swift with a strong grasp of Apple's frameworks, runtime, and tooling beyond UI layers.
* Deep understanding of iOS application architecture patterns (modularisation, dependency management, thread safety, memory management, background execution).
* Added advantage – experience building internal platform capabilities such as authentication, logging, analytics, networking etc
* Comfortable in collaborating with Android engineers to deliver consistent capabilities
* Experience/interest in contributing to both iOS and Android
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
