Job Title: Cost Controller
About the Role:
This is a key position within our project team, responsible for ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of our solar photovoltaic plant. The successful candidate will coordinate the site team to meet project deadlines and objectives.
* Preparation and maintenance of project budgets and forecasts;
* Maintenance of the Final Forecast Cost of projects;
* Monitoring potential risks and opportunities;
* Updating the project cash flow forecast;
* Review and recommendation of amendments to the project coding structures;
* Maintaining close contact with contracts administrators to ensure contract data is accurately reflected in the cost system and assist in efficiently administering the project;
* Preparing and submitting monthly client progress claim;
* Supporting Project Managers with subcontractor's progress claims documentation;
* Supporting project activities within the scope of the role;
* Contributing to continuous improvement of systems and work practices;
* Preparation of month end journals and process expenses;
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or above in Commerce, Business or Finance required. Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within construction or engineering industry. Previous experience in controlling costs throughout the project lifecycle. Experience in using cost control systems and tools.
Knowledge of project schedules and outputs in MS office or Primavera 6 desirable.
