Join our team for a fun & exciting role at a newly opened venue in Robertson. Due to the demand of our busy Pizzeria that just opened we are looking to expand our team for the opening of our restaurant and we are on the hunt for a Head Chef, Sous Chefs, Prep Chefs.
The roles will all have diverse opportunities and we are looking to invest in the right staff. The environment is a fast-paced atmosphere & working full time, part time or casual. We are looking for immediate starts.
The Role / Roles
Head Chef
We are seeking an experienced Pizza Chef who is passionate about crafting hand-stretched, wood-fired Italian pizzas. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is interested in the potential for career progression in the future.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership and staff management – supervise, train, mentor kitchen staff, manage hiring and staff schedules.
- Menu and recipe development – create, cost, and update menus, develop new recipes, maintain consistency and quality in all dishes served.
- Kitchen operations – oversee all daily kitchen activities, ensure efficiency, manage kitchen inventory and supplies, and work closely with owners to create a memorable menu.
- Quality and compliance – maintain high standards for food quality, presentation, and hygiene, inspect all dishes before they are served.
- Financial management – manage the kitchen budget, control food costs, and liaise with suppliers.
- Compliance – ensure the kitchen adheres to all health and safety regulations.
- Prepare and prep doughs using traditional techniques.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to meet high-volume demands efficiently.
- Uphold hygiene and safety standards in the kitchen.
Prep Chef
We are seeking prep chefs to be a key member of our kitchen team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our talented chefs in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist our chefs with food preparation, including washing, peeling, chopping and dicing vegetables and other ingredients.
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, ensuring all work surfaces, equipment and utensils are kept spotless.
- Accurately follow recipes and preparation instructions provided by the chefs.
- Stock and restock kitchen supplies and ingredients as needed.
- Comply with all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working workplace.
- Provide exceptional customer service to our diners when interacting with them in the kitchen.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Head Chef, Chef or prep chef preferably in a high-volume setting.
- Expertise in hand-stretching dough and operating wood-fired ovens.
- Strong understanding of traditional Napoli-style pizza preparation.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
