Your Role:
As a Drainage Maintenance Worker, you'll be responsible for the cleaning and maintenance of drainage systems throughout a capital city; operating a combination eductor and jetting truck with a fellow operator on gullies, manholes and gross pollutant traps; periodic maintenance of roads and footpaths; as well as provision of a high quality of customer service to internal and external customers. Reporting to the Civil Maintenance Coordinator, you'll be instrumental in keeping our operations running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out drainage maintenance and minor civil works (cleaning, repairs, installations) using specialised equipment and trade skills;
* Interpret and update work through GIS systems, plan tasks, and ensure jobs are completed on time and to standard;
* Operate a range of plant, machinery, and vehicles safely and effectively (e.g. jetting truck, loaders, cranes); and
* Lead small crews, manage site safety (traffic control/signage), and maintain accurate records and reporting.
