Overview
Project Manager – Humes. Permanent, full-time role. Location: Melbourne or Echuca. Drive project performance to achieve tendered objectives and ensure the timely delivery of quality products and service that meet customer expectations.
Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain critical path and delivery programs for all project stakeholders with regular On-Time-In-Full updates.
* Ensure timely completion and alignment with agreed quality outcomes.
* Adhere to and manage contract conditions, specifications and drawing production to limit Humes' exposure to risks and support delivery obligations.
* Collaborate with Production to ensure BOMs and Material Masters reflect final estimates to reduce Production Variance.
* Monitor project budgets with operational stakeholders to ensure spending meets financial targets.
* Ensure non-stock items for each project (e.g., moulds, reinforcement, cast in plates) are correctly detailed in procurement for accurate and timely delivery.
* Contribute to continuous improvement in tendering and quoting and develop new ways to improve the business bottom line.
About You / Qualifications
* Qualifications in or strong understanding of civil engineering principles.
* Experience in Precast, Concrete and/or related industries; construction, steel, heavy manufacturing advantageous.
* Credible experience with Tier One Contractors is preferred.
* Knowledge of Quantity Surveying, Estimating and Tendering.
* Extensive project management experience.
* Ability to read drawings.
* Understanding of cost drivers and strong commercial awareness.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Proactive approach to managing time, cost, quality and OH&S issues with excellent negotiation skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP.
