Defense Advocate
The role involves representing clients in criminal law matters, preparing cases, instructing counsel, and appearing in court.
* Represent clients in various jurisdictions and appear for legally aided clients at hearings.
* Provide duty lawyer services, including for clients in custody, and appear on higher court call-overs.
* Deliver legal information and advice to clients and the public.
* Support policy initiatives and contribute to team planning.
