A prominent international law firm is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Insurance Litigation team in Melbourne.
This is a solid opportunity to work on complex financial lines and professional indemnity matters within a high-performing practice, with exposure to high-profile disputes, class actions and regulatory matters.
The Chance
You'll work closely with an experienced Partner and team on a broad mix of sophisticated matters, acting for insurers, corporates and professionals across a range of industries.
Your work will include:
* Professional indemnity and D&O matters
* Construction-related disputes (primarily litigated)
* Class action defence work
* Coverage advice for insurers
* Regulatory investigations and disputes
* Drafting pleadings, advices and submissions
* Liaising with clients, counsel, experts and insurers
* Appearances in courts and tribunals (as appropriate)
About You
* 4+ years' post-admission experience (flexible)
* Background in commercial litigation, insurance or professional indemnity
* Strong litigation and file management skills
* Excellent drafting, communication and research ability
* Ability to manage competing priorities and work autonomously
* Collaborative mindset with strong attention to detail
* Commercially focused with a client-centric approach
* Motivated to build expertise in insurance litigation
