About the Role
As Director – Corporate Tax (Private Clients), you will take ownership of a sophisticated and high‐value client portfolio spanning large privately owned corporate groups, high net wealth individuals and families, trusts, and entrepreneurial businesses – both domestically and across international borders. This is far more than a compliance role. You will be a trusted strategic adviser, a team builder, and a key driver of practice growth.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead a complex portfolio of private clients including privately owned corporate groups, high net wealth families, trusts, and other privately held structures.
* Provide strategic oversight across tax compliance, reporting, planning, and advisory – ensuring technical excellence and genuine commercial value.
* Advise on sophisticated tax matters including restructures, cross-border transactions, CGT, Division 7A, trust structuring, and private wealth issues.
* Partner with senior firm leadership to shape client strategy and drive growth.
* Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams – fostering an inclusive and growth-oriented culture.
* Leverage cutting-edge AI-enabled workflows to elevate the speed, quality, and impact of client outcomes.
About You
* Extensive experience in Tax Consulting with a focus on private/middle‐market clients – gained in a top‐tier or second‐tier accounting firm or legal practice.
* Deep technical expertise across corporate groups, trusts, private wealth, and individuals.
* Demonstrated ability to lead teams, develop talent, and build an inclusive, high‐performance culture.
* Proven track record managing and growing complex client relationships.
