Total Remuneration Package
Base salary ranging from $90,177.00 to $137,861.00, plus leave loading and employer's contribution to superannuation. Total remuneration can be up to $156,253.00.
Role Overview
Finigan School of Distance Education (FSDE) is a purpose‐built K‐12 distance education school located in Queanbeyan NSW. Each teacher is equipped with a Microsoft Surface Pro for the delivery of live lessons and the digital annotation of student work. Teachers deliver live web lessons for each course each week, supported by independent online learning and personalised digital feedback. The school also offers face‐to‐face support through a learning hub in south‐eastern NSW and residential schools at regular intervals. Teachers conduct field visits to provide face‐to‐face support for students.
As a learning experience designer, teachers are committed to the provision of high‐quality, personalised learning experiences for every student through the innovative and flexible use of technology.
Responsibilities
* Deliver live web lessons for assigned engineering courses each week.
* Design and implement engaging learning activities using a wide range of technologies.
* Maintain accurate and effective learning records.
* Provide face‐to‐face support through field visits and summer residential schools.
* Collaborate with students, parents, colleagues and the school community to foster positive relationships.
Qualifications
* Approval to teach Engineering Studies/Industrial Technology or willingness to teach other TAS subjects.
* Full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, or ability to commence the application process immediately.
* Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
* Experience using technology to create and deliver engaging learning activities.
* Experience in maintaining effective recording‐keeping.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is required. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you must commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
FTE and Employment Type
This position is advertised as permanent part‐time; applicants seeking either full‐time or part‐time employment are encouraged to apply. Candidates must indicate their desired FTE (up to the maximum FTE of the advertised position) in their application. If no FTE is indicated, it is assumed the applicant is seeking the full FTE.
FTE selection is final and no changes will be permitted after offer. If you are recommended as a part‐time applicant, you will be appointed at the nominated FTE. Any remaining FTE may be offered to other eligible applicants.
