Psychologist - Advanced (Behaviour Response Team), HP5, Behaviour Response Team, Integrated Care Rehabilitation Service across the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service. The Behaviour Response Team provides specialist assessment, intervention, and consultation for adults with complex behavioural, cognitive, and emotional presentations. As an Advanced Psychologist, you will play a key role in delivering high-level clinical services, supporting multidisciplinary teams, and contributing to service development. Positions are available in both Hervey Bay and Bundaberg, offering the opportunity to live and work in two of Queensland's most sought-after coastal regions.
Your Opportunity
* The purpose of this role is to deliver high quality, evidenced based advanced Psychology services to clients of the Behaviour Response Team (BRT), as part of an interprofessional team to support adult patients presenting with significantly changed behaviours, due to a cognitive impairment or disability.
* The role will include targeted & timely specialised assessment, behaviour management plan development, communication, engagement, education and support to staff providing client care.
* The Behaviour Response Team serves as a central point for communication, engagement, education, and coordination of patient care for adult patients with significantly changed behaviours secondary to a broad range of health presentations (e.g. dementia, delirium, cognitive impairment or disability).
Two Permanent Full Time Positions, 76 hours p.f., one position at Bundaberg and one position at Hervey Bay.
What we're looking for
* Advanced level Psychology skills, knowledge and expertise in the area of persons with significantly changed behaviours across the adult lifespan, including use of evidence-based management principles.
* Understanding of the challenges faced by a range of stakeholders when managing significantly changed behaviours, in the acute, sub acute, post acute and residential setting.
* Advanced ability to communicate with, influence and negotiate with a range of stakeholders and teams across the clinical continuum.
* Ability to lead, implement and evaluate service improvement and change in the clinical setting, enhancing outcomes for both consumers and the service.
* Demonstrated ability to lead, implement and evaluate service improvement initiatives through continuous quality improvement, knowledge translation and research projects that enhance outcomes for consumers of BRT and influence clinical practice standards across Queensland.
Preferred Qualifications
* Mandatory possession of a qualification from a registered tertiary institution as a Psychologist and Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency with a current annual practising certificate is essential
* Postgraduate qualifications in a psychology specialty and eligibility for specialist recognition will be highly desirable.
* Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and if applicable registration or membership with the appropriate registration authority or association. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties.
* This position requires the incumbent to work at other facilities within the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service.

You will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to $172,615 p.a., comprising salary between $144,991 - $151,289 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP5) (Two Permanent Full Time positions, 76 hours p.f.)
