We are seeking a passionate and experienced Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various culinary techniques, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to the Luna Bar menu.
* Create special menus for events, seasonal specials, and promotional activities that enhance the dining experience and attract a diverse clientele.
* Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standard and meet customer expectations.
* Lead and manage kitchen operations during service hours, ensuring efficient workflow and top-quality dish presentation.
* Supervise kitchen staff, ensuring efficient operation and teamwork.
* Manage food and kitchen supplies inventory by ordering necessary ingredients and tools, keeping track of stock levels, and minimizing waste.
* Uphold the highest standards of food safety and cleanliness by enforcing strict hygiene protocols throughout the kitchen.
* Address any specific dietary requests or concerns from guests, ensuring their needs are met with care and precision.
* Collaborate with the management team to enhance the overall dining experience.
* Plan and execute special events and catering services as required.
* Stay updated on industry trends and implement innovative cooking techniques.
Qualifications:
• Certificate III, IV in Commercial Cookery and Diploma of Hospitality (Preferred but not mandatory).
Other skills and requirements:
* Requiring a minimum of 1 year of work experience in a relevant role
* Strong leadership skills, capable of managing and motivating a team.
* A deep understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
