Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and results‐driven Sales Representative with extensive experience in the automotive refinish industry to manage and expand our customer base across the Victorian/Tasmanian territories. This permanent, full‐time role is based out of our Clayton headquarters and offers the opportunity to work autonomously, developing and executing strategic plans to drive sales growth and increase market share.

Key Responsibilities

* Business Development: Identify and cultivate new business opportunities across various segments and industries, driving profitable growth and achieving sales targets.
* Account Management: Strengthen relationships with existing dealers and end‐users to enhance brand awareness and loyalty.
* Technical Consultation: Analyse key end‐user applications and processes, providing technical product recommendations to improve efficiency and performance.
* Training and Support: Enhance dealer and stakeholder knowledge through hands‐on, digital, and face‐to‐face training sessions.
* Strategic Planning: Develop, maintain, and execute state plans to achieve sales and profit targets, maximizing market share potential while considering time and resource allocation.
* Product Distribution: Increase distribution and product range within new and existing dealers, aligning with market demands and state plans.
* End‐User Engagement: Identify, pitch, and secure opportunities with end‐users across key verticals through targeted visits, product demonstrations, and trials.
* Promotional Execution: Implement promotional programs that strengthen siaAbrasives' brand awareness and sales.
* Merchandising Excellence: Ensure in‐store excellence in product merchandising and point‐of‐sale displays as required.
* Customer Service: Provide prompt and valued customer service, technical support, and market advice.
* Market Analysis: Monitor and report on competitor activity and market trends, providing regular internal feedback.

Qualifications

* Proven sales experience, ideally within the automotive refinish industry, abrasives, or related sectors.
* Technical proficiency: In‐depth knowledge of abrasives and related products preferred; ability to demonstrate experience in selling a technical product is highly regarded.
* Commercial acumen: Strong focus on negotiating commercial arrangements, including pricing and sales allowances.
* Communication skills: Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
* Organisational skills: Strong attention to detail, with excellent organisational and time‐management abilities.
* Autonomous work ethic: Ability to work and manage the region independently from a home office base.
* Technical tools: Proficiency in MS Office Suite, CRM, ERP, and project‐management tools.
* Licenses: Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to customer sites, including interstate and occasional overseas travel.
