Part‐Time Commis Chef
We are currently seeking a Part‐Time Commis Chef to join our professional and energetic kitchen team. This role offers the opportunity to work across a dynamic hotel food and beverage operation, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner services, while helping to create memorable dining experiences for our guests.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and present menu items with creativity and consistency, while adhering to cost controls
* Maintain strict stock rotation procedures and minimise waste
* Ensure all kitchen and work areas are kept clean, organised, and hygienic
* Assist with dishwashing and general kitchen cleaning as required
* Ensure all equipment is properly maintained, cleaned, and serviced, reporting any issues to the Head Chef
Qualifications
* A relevant trade qualification and experience in a similar role, ideally within a hotel or restaurant environment (dinner service experience essential)
* Strong technical cooking skills across a range of styles and techniques
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* A commitment to maintaining high and consistent standards
* A sound understanding of food safety practices and HACCP principles
* Valid Australian working rights
* The flexibility to work across a rotating roster including early mornings, evenings, weekend & public holidays
