Remuneration : $55.09 - $67.15 per hour + annual leave loading + Superannuation

About the Role

Concord Centre for Mental Health is committed to improving mental health for people and our communities by providing quality mental health services in partnership with consumers, families and service providers by providing quality healthcare, delivery of safe appropriate care, ensuring access to services, supporting our workforce, and working closely with the local community to manage the changing demand for services.

This position aims to support evidenced-based neurocognitive assessment and contribute to the care, treatment and management of mental illness and psychological conditions for forensic patients at the Burudyara Forensic Unit.

This position provides evidence based neuropsychological assessment for forensic patients who will be seen individually for assessment. The Clinical neuropsychologist will participate in the evaluation of clinical outcomes of services, assist in the development and provision of education and training programs, and will be expected to supervise post-graduate provisional neuropsychologists where appropriate. Clinical work will occur within the context of a multidisciplinary health care team.

Ideal Candidate

- Must hold a post graduate degree in clinical psychology or clinical neuropsychology (Masters, and/or Doctorate or PhD) that provides eligibility for full membership of the APS.
- Demonstrated clinical knowledge, skill and clinical experience in the provision of clinical neuropsychology assessments. Demonstrated knowledge and skills in the use of a broad range of neurocognitive tests.
- Experience and demonstrated ability in building and maintaining professional and therapeutic relationships through the application of written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
