Nepean Hospital is a teaching that provides tertiary referral services in emergency care, coronary care, diagnostics, gynaecology, paediatric, neonatal intensive care/ICU, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation, and surgery. The Nepean Campus has recently experienced tremendous growth and aims to support communities within and outside of Sydney’s western suburbs, providing world‑class clinical facilities, services, and care.
4. Nepean Hospital is seeking a proactive and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Hospital in the Home (HITH) service.
5. This is a rewarding opportunity to deliver acute, hospital‑level care to patients in the comfort of their own homes, supporting early discharge and reducing hospital admissions.
6. You will work independently and as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team, providing high‑quality, patient‑centred care across the Nepean Blue Mountains area.
7. The Hospital in the Home team provides a broad range of clinical interventions including IV therapies, wound care, monitoring of acute conditions, post‑operative care, and patient education.
8. Our service plays a vital role in enhancing patient experience, improving health outcomes, and supporting efficient hospital flow.
What You Will Bring To The Role
- Current registration to practice as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA)
- Demonstrated experience and clinical skill in Medical and Surgical Nursing as a registered nurse (including completion of a new graduate RN programme or equivalent experience working as a Registered Nurse)
- Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work
- Demonstrated evidence of being able to provide person‑centred care
- Demonstrated effective communication skills – written and verbal
- Demonstrated commitment to career development
- Ability to work a flexible roster, day, evening or night shift across all days of the week according to the unit/service requirements
- Current Driver's Licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel
