About The Role
The Broadcast Production Manager is responsible for delivering the strategic direction and end-to-end activation and leadership of the Crewing and Arrangements team as well as detailed support of the Live & Non-Live Programming teams. This includes successful delivery of booking processes, contract development in conjunction with our internal Legal and People teams, budget and payroll management including industry benchmarking, and best practice relationship management with key crew and stakeholders. The remit includes all freelance production, operational, and technical crew as well as talent who work on Tennis Australia (TA) Host Broadcasts and year-round Productions. This is a 12‐month fixed‐term contract.
Responsibilities
* Lead yearly planning exercises and define team goals and initiatives.
* Lead the crew servicing strategy to ensure TA attracts and retains world‐class crew for its projects.
* Manage & oversee crewing services for all AO Media events and projects including support to the Coverage & Content team.
* Ensure that rosters are updated and communicate to crew in line with match‐schedule and production changes (during events).
* Oversee the ongoing maintenance of the Tennis Australia crew database platform (iCrew).
* Facilitate detailed payroll reports and oversee event budgets and spends.
About You
* Broadcast, Production or Event experience working in live broadcasts/productions, crewing related roles or large‐scale events.
* Strong focus on contracting, invoicing and management of large volume communications.
* Knowledge of the broadcast and/or production industry domestically and internationally.
* Ability to manage large numbers of tournament staff, crew and contractors.
* A current Police Check and Working with Children Check (or be willing to obtain).
* Preparedness to be flexible in regard to working hours and arrangements relating to work associated with Tennis Australia.
