Overview
Manning Base Hospital's Emergency Department on the beautiful NSW coast is in a growth phase under new leadership. We are building a dynamic FACEM team and need consultants ready to lead change, whether you are an experienced clinician seeking a new challenge or an early‐career FACEM eager to shape the future of the department.
The Clinical Environment
* Annual presentations: approximately 38,000
* Full‐time ED Director and a small team of Staff Specialists – space to build a collaborative consultant group
* Day and evening shifts, no nights; opportunity to develop the on‐call roster structure
* Training opportunities: supervise ACEM EMTP and ACCRM trainees, HETI accredited JMO positions, planned training expansion
* Dynamic NUM, nursing team and nurse practitioners; collaborative inpatient teams; culture of growth, safety and excellence
* Expanded clinical space with dedicated support area
* High‐acuity presentations; care for a large percentage of local Indigenous and aged population

* Department development and service improvement
* Education and training supervision

* Rural incentives: up to $10,000 sign‐on, up to $5,000 each year (value depends on FTE, position and location) – staff specialist appointments only
