Job Title: Food and Beverage Attendants - Conferencing & Events
Position Overview
A Conference & Events Food & Beverage Attendant is responsible for delivering professional, efficient, and high-quality food and beverage service for conferences, meetings, corporate events, weddings, and special functions. The role focuses on set up, service, and breakdown of events while ensuring an exceptional guest experience in line with venue and brand standards.
This role ensures that guests attending conferences and events are well looked after, services run smoothly, and food and beverages are presented and served to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
Event Setup & Preparation
Set up function rooms according to event orders and floor plans
Prepare tables, stations, buffets, bars, and equipment
Ensure cleanliness and presentation meet venue standards
Food & Beverage Service
Serve food and beverages during conferences, meetings, and events
Provide plated, buffet, cocktail, or bar service as required
Maintain a professional and attentive approach to guest service
Monitor tables and functions to ensure guest needs are met
Guest Experience
Greet and assist guests in a friendly and professional manner
Respond promptly to guest requests or concerns
Work collaboratively with kitchen and event teams to ensure smooth service
Operational Support
Assist with event pack down, cleaning, and resetting rooms
Handle basic bar service if trained (where applicable)
Follow schedules and event run sheets to ensure timely service
Compliance & Safety
Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards
Follow Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) requirements
Maintain WHS standards and safe manual handling practices
