The Role You Could Play
We're looking for a detail‐oriented and service‐driven Payroll Officer to join our Support Centre team. In this role, you'll play a critical part in delivering a seamless, accurate and compliant payroll experience for every MECCA team member.
What You Will Be Doing
* Deliver end‐to‐end fortnightly payroll processing with accuracy and timeliness
* Manage payroll variations including terminations, leave calculations and adjustments
* Maintain payroll data integrity across systems, ensuring confidentiality and compliance
* Respond to payroll queries, providing clear, timely and stakeholder‐focused support
* Contribute to process improvements, system enhancements and testing initiatives
* Collaborate with People & Education and Finance teams to ensure accurate data flow and payroll outcomes
What You Will Bring
* Minimum 4 years' experience in payroll, ideally in a high‐volume environment
* Knowledge of payroll legislation including PAYG, superannuation and Awards
* Proven ability to manage end‐to‐end payroll processes with high accuracy
* Experience with payroll systems (e.g. Workday, HR3, UKG or similar) and intermediate Excel skills
* Retail industry experience highly desirable including knowledge of the GRIA awards
* Strong communication skills with a service‐oriented and solutions‐focused mindset
