We are growing our Façade Engineering team in Melbourne and are seeking a talented Façade Engineer with proven experience in 3D façade modelling and glare/reflectivity assessment. You will work alongside an established, multidisciplinary team supporting landmark commercial, mixed-use, education and healthcare developments across Australia and New Zealand.

About the Role
In this role, you will:
Develop technical façade engineering solutions from concept through to construction delivery.
Prepare and review 3D models of façade systems (Curtain Wall, Window Wall, Unitised, Terracotta, GRC, Screen Systems, etc.).
Undertake glare and reflectivity studies, including analysis of solar angles and environmental impacts.
Perform engineering calculations, including structural assessments, thermal and condensation reviews, fixings, support framing, panelization and stress checks.
Work closely with architects, developers, façade fabricators, and contractors to ensure design intent and buildability.
Prepare industry-standard documentation including design reports, calculation packs, drawings, test specifications, and site inspection notes.
Participate in internal QA reviews and contribute to internal technical development.
Skills & Experience
To be successful, you will ideally have:
Bachelor's Degree in Structural, Civil, Architectural, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or similar).
3+ years experience in façade engineering, building envelopes, or a closely related field.
Strong 3D design and modelling capability (e.g., Rhino, Revit, SolidWorks, Inventor, CATIA, Grasshopper, or similar) preferred
Demonstrated experience conducting glare/solar reflectivity analysis (SunCast, Radiance, Grasshopper/Ladybug/Honeybee or equivalent tools).
Solid understanding of façade performance requirements (structural, thermal, moisture, fire, acoustics, air/water testing).
Proficiency in engineering calculations (structural loads, pressure analysis, support system design, material behaviour).
Knowledge of AS/NZS, NCC / BCA, CWCT, AAMA, or similar façade standards preferred.
Excellent communication skills and ability to present technical outcomes clearly.
