Senior Geologist Job Description
The role of a Senior Geologist involves leading and mentoring a team of professional geologists to provide guidance, advice, and in-house training for their professional development and growth. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Geology or a closely related technical field, a minimum of 8 years of Geology experience, and a Professional Geologist (PG) license.
* Supervise the field and office work of junior staff associated with hydrogeological investigations, environmental evaluations, and sampling
* Prepare detailed design recommendations for complex or unusual conditions
* Lead teams with varying responsibilities and tasks. Provide counsel, advice, and in-house training to individual staff. Identify training needs
* Serve as an initial reviewer on selected projects and independently scope and budget projects, preparing proposal documents
* Cultivate client relationships and assist in identifying, pursuing, and securing new project opportunities
