OVERALL POSITION OBJECTIVE
* Network Engineer with experience in the networking specifically with Service Provider, good knowledge on MPLS, Service Provider environment, networks and processes.
* Good understanding of backhaul networks/Transmission equipment, with experience in migrations.
* This person would thrive on challenges in a high‐paced environment and has a passion for networks.
* In addition, we're after someone with good technical knowledge of MRV Make Devices, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a team player.
* Experience with the Global Service provider is preferred.
In this role, you will be:
• Work on a live networking environment at client base.
• Working on Metro Ethernet Forum.
• Configure the port configurations on the switches terminating at customer premises (ADVA, Cisco IOS & ASR).
• Provide flexible and robust services through VPLS and pseudo‐wire technology in Telstra core networks by configuration, testing, and troubleshooting of MRV Comm Switches, Cisco ASR9K & MSE‐8890 Routers.
• Provide best solutions and be a point of escalation for the team.
• Responsible for delivery of wholesale or retail service within given time.
• Should meet all KPIs in terms of productivity, quality and process compliances.
• Pro‐actively perform activities and cutovers.
• Adhere to the MOPs shared and follow the procedures involved.
• Work with team and manager to improve productivity and quality.
• Handle multiple applications or database effectively to remove customer asset records.
Key Behaviours, Skills and Experience
* Bachelor of Engineering Graduation
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* CCNA Certified
* Exposure in the Telstra network arena
* Proficient in MS Suite, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and SharePoint
* Capability of working autonomously and in teams collaboratively
* Strong attention to detail
* Ability to prioritise tasks
* SME level understanding of the following systems
* Previous experience in a similar role (or) having hands‐on experience on above mentioned systems
* Product Knowledge and Industry Experience
