About the Role:
As a Security Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient running of the Cyber Security Operations function. You will work with the Group Manager - Tech and Cyber Security to ensure that security queries are addressed in a timely manner.
The Security Engineer will collaborate with other WES/WIS Security Teams on an ad-hoc basis to identify and address potential security risks. Additionally, they will maintain Security Dashboards and Reporting Processes for Management purposes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Performing a range of systems security-related activities including proactive monitoring, reactive support, and documentation of security processes to support the Technology Team and ensure configuration management standards are applied.
* Monitoring the approach and compliance of security administration processes and security access through assessing metrics and data to identify unauthorized activity and prevent breaches from occurring.
* Conducting security assessments through vulnerability testing and risk analysis to minimize the risk of security breaches.
* Analyzing security breaches and other security-related incidents to identify root causes and ensure systems changes are identified and assessed while escalating potential breaches to the Group Manager – Technology & Cyber Security.
* Maintaining and updating Internal Cybersecurity systems such as security platforms, firewalls, and other associated systems, and documentation and policies required for compliance.
* Establish and operate security tools to monitor progress, take corrective action, and produce reports as required by senior management.
* Provide input into the risk management programme ensuring that Information technology systems Disaster Recovery plans include elements linked to cybersecurity.
