Qualified Boilermaker/Sheet Metal Fabricator
WAMMCO International, a leading meat processing company, is seeking a qualified Boilermaker/Sheet Metal Fabricator to join our team in Katanning, Western Australia. This full‐time role is an integral part of our operations, responsible for the fabrication, maintenance, and repair of specialized equipment used in our state‐of‐the‐art processing facility.
What you'll be doing
* Fabricate, install, and repair boilers, tanks, pressure vessels, and other metal products using welding, cutting, and assembling techniques.
* Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical documents to execute projects to specification.
* Perform maintenance and servicing on production equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
* Collaborate with the wider maintenance team to identify and resolve issues proactively.
* Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to all health and safety protocols.
What we're looking for
* Formal qualification in Boilermaking or Sheet Metal Fabrication, with a minimum of 3 years' relevant experience.
* Demonstrated proficiency in MIG, TIG, and arc welding techniques.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
* Strong problem‐solving and critical thinking skills to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
* Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
* Effective communication skills to liaise with team members and stakeholders.
* Forklift licence and experience in the operation of other relevant machinery.
