Safety Advisor – Full Time, Permanent, located in Queensland. We are a successful civil contracting business with 35+ years of experience, delivering major infrastructure projects such as the Coomera Connector Stage 1 South.
We are seeking a Safety Advisor to support the safe and successful delivery of this major infrastructure project. The role involves coordinating and managing site safety risks, ensuring compliance with company systems and legislation, and championing a proactive safety culture across the team.
About the role
* Support the delivery of safe and compliant project outcomes
* Mentor site teams and promote strong safety practices
* Conduct site inspections, audits, and identify improvement opportunities
* Provide practical safety advice to project teams and assist with safety plans
* Ensure compliance with company policies, legislation, and industry standards
* Foster a proactive and transparent safety culture on site
Qualifications and Experience
* Relevant qualification in Work Health & Safety (Cert IV, Diploma or Degree)
* Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role (civil, construction or related industry)
* Strong commitment to safety with a proactive, positive attitude
* Team‐oriented with excellent collaboration and communication skills
* Proven ability to build relationships with site teams, management, clients and auditors
* Sound knowledge of safety systems, plant operations and site practices
* Experience in incident investigations (ICAM) and internal auditing
* Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Additional Requirements
Must hold a current Driver's Licence and have own transport, as many projects are located in regional areas.
