About the role
We are seeking multiple levels of highly motivated and technically competent Systems Engineers to make their mark on some of the most high‐profile and strategically critical Australian Defence Industry programmes.
Systems Engineers will support the creation and review of contracted engineering outputs involved in delivering communications, navigation, and platform management subsystems for the remaining ships in the acquisition programme.
Your remit will be as broad as it is challenging. Key responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
* Conducting ship inspections
* Liaising with customers, OEMs and staff to develop requirements and assess constraints
* Developing design documents and test procedures
* Preparing test reports
* Supporting the agreed safety programme
Qualifications and Experience
* Demonstrated relevant experience in the Systems Engineering Lifecycle
* Able and willing to obtain and hold an Australian Defence Security Clearance to NV1
* Defence industry experience preferred
* Degree in Communications, Electrical, Electronics, Systems Engineering or a related field
* Experience developing specifications, requirements, design, and test procedures
* Knowledge of the operation of communications equipment and systems
* Understanding of configuration management practices and procedures
