Role Overview: Are you passionate about improving patient outcomes through safe and effective medication management?
We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Pharmacist to join our hospital team, where you will play a vital role in enhancing patient care and medication safety across all stages of hospitalisation, from admission to discharge, and through active collaboration with community pharmacists and general practitioners.
In this role, you will provide clinical pharmacy services as an integral member of the patient care team, ensuring best practice in therapeutics and medication accuracy during transitions of care.
You will also contribute to after hours and on call pharmacy services and participate in afternoon shifts on a rostered basis.
Responsibilities:
Respond to enquiries with professionalism and courtesy
Supply drug information to patients and carers
Prepare in-service lectures and review current literature
Maintain service statistics
Manufacture sterile and non-sterile products not commercially available
Participate in aseptic dispensing and quality control
Supervise packaging and labeling
Maintain compliance with legal and departmental standards
Oversee accurate assembly and documentation of packaged items in the pre-packaging area

What You Will Bring To The Role
Tertiary qualifications in Pharmacy and current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA)
Demonstrated postgraduate clinical experience in a health care setting
Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
Ability to prioritise workloads, work independently and within an inter-professional team environment
Demonstrated high level of organisational and time management skills
Record of ongoing professional development
Computer literacy with experience in Microsoft Office and Pharmacy Inventory/Dispensing programs
